  • Do you offer car insurance / protection?
    Yes, we offer three CDW options for your peace of mind: $20/day with a $2,000 deductible $40/day with a $1,000 deductible $60/day with NO deductible (available for drivers 25+) Our CDW covers collision, damage, and theft. You can add it when booking online or at the time of pick-up. Before purchasing, check with your credit card company—many offer car rental protection, which could save you from buying additional insurance. US Drivers: If you plan to use your own insurance, please ensure it offers full coverage for rentals and transfers to rental cars. We’ll validate this before your pick-up. Keep in mind that your deductible may vary based on your coverage.

  • What is your cancelation policy?
    Cancellation Policy 🚗❌ We get it—plans change! Here’s how our cancellation policy works: Cancel up to 48 hours before your scheduled pick-up/delivery: Get a full refund! Cancel or modify within 48 hours of your scheduled pick-up/delivery: A cancellation or change fee may apply. Please note, once you’ve picked up the vehicle, there are no refunds or credits for unused rental days. Need to cancel or change your reservation?   • Besides the rates, are there any extra charges I should know about?
    You’re responsible for fuel and tolls during your trip. Our policy is simple: return the vehicle with the same fuel level it had when you picked it up (usually full-to-full). If not, a $5 per gallon refueling fee plus any applicable fuel charges will apply. Tolls: All vehicles come with a SunPass electronic toll system, so tolls are automatically recorded and charged to your card after you return the car. You can also choose to pre-pay for this service during your booking. Toll charges vary by destination: Orlando: $60 Key West: $20 Local Miami Area: $7 Be sure to ask your rental representative for an estimated toll cost based on your travel route! Important Notes: Additional charges may apply for things like late fees, smoking fees, lost keys, or damage due to negligent behavior. These charges are rare but will be applied if necessary.
  • Is fuel included with the rental fee?
    Fuel is not included in the rental price. We have a full-to-full policy, meaning you’ll need to return the vehicle with the same fuel level it had when you picked it up. If it’s not returned with the same level, we’ll charge the difference against your security deposit plus applicable refueling fees. Prepay for Fuel Option: If you'd prefer not to worry about refueling, you can prepay for fuel when you book your vehicle. This option allows you to return the car without needing to refill the tank. Simply select the option during the booking process to see pricing!
  • Is there a security deposit?
    Security Deposit 💳 Depending on the type of convertible you rent and your age, we’ll hold a refundable security deposit ranging from $100 to $1,000. This will be processed at pick-up. For US drivers using their own collision coverage, the security deposit may vary based on your coverage and deductibles. Please give us a call for more details!
  • I don't have a credit card, do you accept any other type of payment?
    Don’t Have a Credit Card? Here’s What You Need to Know 💳 If your driver’s license is from the US, we can only accept major credit cards—ABSOLUTELY NO debit cards, prepaid cards, or e-checks. For customers coming from certain countries with credit limitations, we can explore alternative payment options. Please give us a call, and we’ll work with you to find a solution!
  • What are your requirements to rent a convertible?
    Requirements to Rent a Convertible 🚗 US Drivers: A valid driver’s license. A major credit card (no debit cards or prepaid cards). Proof of full car coverage that transfers to rentals (if you’re using your own CDW). International Drivers: A valid driver’s license from your home country. A credit card (and/or debit card, depending on your country of residence and credit registration—please ask for specifics). Original passport.
  • Can I rent a convertible if I am under 21?
    Can I Rent if I’m Under 21? 🚫 Unfortunately, no. To rent a standard convertible, you must be at least 21 years old. To rent a V8 model, you need to be at least 25 years old. This is Florida law, not our policy.

  • Can I pick up a color I want?
    Can I Pick a Color? 🎨 Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee a specific color for your rental. While we’ll do our best to accommodate your request if the color is available, we can’t promise you’ll get it. For more details, feel free to call a representative, and we’ll be happy to assist you!

  • Are there any mileage restrictions?
    Mileage depends on the vehicle you choose. Here’s how it breaks down: Standard Convertibles (Mustangs, Camaros, Jeep Wranglers) include unlimited mileage. V8 Models (Mustang GT, Camaro SS) have a daily mileage limit of 150 miles/day. Be sure to check the specific vehicle description when booking, as some Mustang rates include limited mileage. Important: Regardless of mileage limits, none of our vehicles can leave the state of Florida.
  • How many suitcases can I fit in the trunk of a Mustang Convertible?
    In a Mustang Convertible, you can fit 1 large suitcase and 1 small carry-on in the trunk. If you have additional luggage, you might be able to use the back seats as well.   • Do the cars come with a SunPass device to pay for tolls?
    Yes, all of our vehicles come with an embedded SunPass, the electronic prepaid toll system operated by Florida's Turnpike Enterprise. Since the SunPass is built into the vehicle, it can’t be removed, so you won’t be able to use your own. This means you won’t need to worry about carrying cash or stopping to pay tolls. You’ll be charged at cost for any tolls you use during your rental, and the amount will be deducted from your security deposit. The total charge will appear on your final receipt. Prepay for Tolls: You also have the option to prepay for tolls. During the booking process, you can select this option and see pricing based on the number of days you’re renting the vehicle.
  • Can I use my own SunPass device?
    Can I Use My Own SunPass? 🚫 No, our SunPass devices are embedded into each vehicle, so there’s no way to use your own. If you try to use your own device, you’ll end up paying twice for the same toll, as we can't deactivate our SunPass. Stick with the vehicle’s built-in SunPass to avoid extra charges!
  • Can I schedule a pick up before your opening hours?
    Yes, you can! For an extra fee, we can arrange to have your vehicle ready for pick-up or delivery before our office opens at 7:00 AM. Just let us know in advance!
  • How do I open the roof of the Mustang?
    How to Open the Roof of a Mustang Convertible: Turn on the Engine: Make sure the car is on and the parking brake is engaged. Locate the Roof Control Button: The button is usually found near the center console, just below the dashboard or on the overhead console. Press the Roof Control Button: Push and hold the button to initiate the roof operation. Wait for the Roof to Fold Back: The roof will begin folding automatically. Make sure nothing is obstructing the process. Release the Button Once Open: Once the roof is fully retracted, release the button and enjoy the sun! If you’re not great with instructions, don’t worry—just watch this video, and we’ll show you exactly how it’s done!
  • How do I open the roof of the Jeep Wrangler?
    How to Open the Soft Top on a Jeep Wrangler 🛻☀️ Release the Front Latches: Locate the latches at the front of the soft top, near the top corners above the windshield. Pull them down to unlock the roof. Fold Back the Soft Top: Stand on one side of the Jeep, grab the top, and start folding it toward the back. If it’s a manual soft top, keep folding all the way back until it’s fully open. Now it’s secure. Promise! It’s not going to spring back up on you. Just hit the road and enjoy that Miami sunshine.   • How do I put fuel in the car?
    How Do I Put Fuel in a Mustang or a Jeep? ⛽️ It’s easy—and super important you do it right! Premium Gas Only: All of our vehicles require Premium Gas (93 Octane). That’s the good stuff. Absolutely NO diesel—putting diesel in one of our cars will ruin the engine and your vacation. Don’t do it. No Fuel Cap Needed: The Mustang has a capless fuel system. Just open the fuel door, insert the pump nozzle, and fill it up with 93 premium. That’s it! Don’t Forget Your Receipt: If you’re returning the car full, hang on to your gas receipt—it’s the easiest way to show you fueled up with premium. Still unsure? Your rental rep will happily show you where everything is before you drive off. Easy breezy!
  • What should I do if I'm involved in an accident?
    What Happens in Case of an Accident? 🚨 First things first—stay calm and follow these steps: 1. Call 911 Immediately: Report the accident to the police. If anyone is injured, ask for medical assistance. If there’s a fire, request help from the fire department. 2. Stay at the Scene: Do not leave until the police arrive. Your rental agreement has all the details they’ll need to pull up the vehicle’s registration info. 3. Get a Police Report: This is very important! You’ll need the report for any insurance claim. 4. Call Us ASAP: Contact your Miami Convertibles agent right away to report the accident and get guidance on what happens next.
  • I got a flat tire, what do I do?
    Got a Flat Tire? 🛞 No worries—it happens! Just a heads-up: Roadside assistance (like flat tires or dead batteries) is provided through the manufacturer’s roadside service, not our insurance. That means any tire, battery, or other roadside hiccups are the renter’s responsibility. But you're not on your own—call your Miami Convertibles rep and we’ll help you figure out the next step. We’re here to make sure you’re back on the road ASAP!

  • When will I receive my security deposit back?
    Where’s My Refund? 🤔 (Spoiler: It’s Not a Refund 😉) Let’s clear this up once and for all—we don’t actually charge your security deposit, we just place a hold on your card. Think of it like a hotel room hold. It’s not gone, it’s just chillin’. Here’s how it works: ✅ Returned during business hours? We check the car, tally up any extras (like tolls, fuel, tickets, etc.), and release the hold the same day. 🌙 Returned after hours? No problem. We’ll check everything first thing in the morning and release the hold once we close your rental. Easy. 📧 You’ll get an email with your final receipt—that’s your confirmation the contract is closed and the hold is released. 😉. The funds will just flow back to your card like magic (well, bank processing magic). 💳 When do you see the money back? That depends on your bank or card company. Most banks take 3 to 10 business days to reflect the released hold. Some are faster, some move like molasses. We wish we could speed them up—but it’s out of our hands once we hit “release.” So no need to panic or call us a million times—it’s on the way!
  • What if I receive a parking ticket during my rental?
    Got a Ticket or Got Towed? Here's What You Need to Know 🚨🅿️ Florida doesn’t mess around with parking enforcement—and neither should you! 🚫 Never park in: Handicap spots (unless you have a valid permit) Yellow zones, loading zones, or fire lanes Driveways or any restricted area If you get a parking ticket during your rental, it's your responsibility to pay it. And heads up: unpaid tickets can lead to extra fees later, so handle it quickly. If not we will have to process against your credit card on file with added late fees charged by the city. If Your Car Gets Towed (Yikes!) 💸 Towing in Miami ain’t cheap. Fees range from $400–$800 and must be paid in cash directly to the towing company. 👤 A Miami Convertibles rep has to be present at the tow yard to release the car—we’re the only ones who can show the registration. 🕘 We can only assist during regular business hours, so don’t get stuck waiting around because of a bad parking decision. Pro Tip: When in doubt—just park in a paid garage or lot. It’s way cheaper than a ticket or a tow! Got a specific question about where to park safely?   • What if I receive a traffic violation?
    Traffic Violations & Fines 🚦💸 Speeding ticket? Red light camera? Uh-oh. Renters are 100% responsible for all traffic violations that happen during their rental—this includes speeding, red light cameras, toll violations, parking tickets, and towing fees. If you receive a ticket while driving, please do the right thing and let your Miami Convertibles rep know ASAP so we can help you handle it properly. 📬 Heads up: Some traffic tickets (especially camera-based ones) can show up 30+ days later. If that happens, we’ll charge the fine to your card on file plus a processing fee (up to 100% of the fine)—because, trust us, handling these after the fact is a whole thing. ✅ Best move? Drive smart, follow the rules, and keep that record clean. You’re in a convertible in Miami—you’ve already won. No need to rush. 😎
  • When will I get my security deposit back?
    Miami Convertibles releases the pending security deposits the same day or the following day after the vehicle is returned. Please check with your bank as some banks take 1 - 7 days to process the release of any pending payments. if you have any questions we will always be happy to answer any of your concerns via phone, WhatsApp or email.
